Do you have questions about the atendit sensor or app?

How does atendit know it is me or someone else going through the door? (the Near vs Far app calculation)
Atendit calculates the distance the phone is from the beacon, currently set for 2.5 meters, to determine if it is you at the door. If it sees you are further away when the Sensor is triggered, the software assumes it is not you at the doorway. This helps when there are multiple users in the same household or office.
Will atendit work when I am away from my home, apartment, office, or shop?
No, the atendit Sensor has a transmission range of approximately 100 feet. (Did U Remember To plans to offer a Sensor with a range of 300 feet in the coming months)
Will a Sensor or Bluetooth beacon from another source or vendor work with the atendit app?
No, only the atendit Sensor will work. The atendit Sensor is programmed in a certain way to meet the unique requirements of the app functionality.
How long does the battery in the Sensor last? Can it be replaced?
The battery lasts 2 - 4 years with moderate use. The Sensor is sealed and as a result, the battery is not replaceable.
Why do I need to leave my phone Location set to Always?
Atendit uses the location feature of the phone, so if it is turned off your reminders, notices, and alerts (RNAs) will not function.
Do I need to activate (turn on) my Sensor?
No, your Sensor is on when you get it, but only transmitting when it is moved.
If I set an overnight time range, e.g., 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, what happens if I also set a single day of the week, since this covers two days?
Since all criteria need to be met before a reminder, notice, or alert (RNA) can be issued, you will only receive an RNA on that day of the week. For example, for a Tuesday only setting, the RNA will only be issued (if a trigger occurs) from midnight to 7:00 AM Tuesday and then from 11:00 PM to Midnight the same day. Consider setting multiple days to cover the overnight(s) you want or just set to all days (Default).
If my phone is turned off will I get RNAs?
No, your phone has to be on, but atendit does not have to be opened to get RNAs. Atendit can be off, running in the background, or open, and you will receive RNAs.
I accidentally tapped “don’t allow location” and now I can’t set up a Sensor, what can I do?
Close atendit (use your app switcher to fully close the app) then tap your icon to restart atendit. Now select allow Location and when asked tap Always Allow Location.
Are there any circumstances when I might not get my RNA?
Yes. If you are in the app and editing an RNA while walking through the doorway, although the Sensor will transmit, it is possible that your other RNA(s) won’t be triggered.
Why don’t I get multiple RNAs when I move the Sensor again and again?
There is a once every 45 seconds maximum triggering condition in the app program to prevent the RNAs from going off multiple times as you go through the door one time.
If I delete my Sensor what happens to the RNA I have set up?
The RNA is automatically made “Inactive” (grey slide switch). You can make it active again by performing an Edit and selecting another Sensor. If you relink the same Sensor using the original name, the RNA will not work until you Edit the details of the RNA, select that Sensor, and then Save.
Can I use atendit to remind me to bring my phone with me when I leave my apartment?
Yes, with some limits. You can set up an RNA to trigger whenever anyone goes through the door (Any Distance). Your phone will produce the atendit ringtone as you start to leave. So if it is in your pocket or purse, you're good to go, but if you hear it somewhere else you know you have forgotten to take it. The limit is your range of hearing and the volume you have the ring set for.
If my Bluetooth is turned off, what will happen?
No RNAs will be received, your phone needs Bluetooth turned on to receive the atendit Sensor signal when the door is opened.
How much battery does atendit use in a typical day?
Atendit uses very little battery power each day, generally less than 2% of the battery life.
